Just thinking about sweet Lily, her octopus, and her quirky owner, Ted Flask, makes me teary, though! I *love* connecting with characters, and I definitely feel sad while reading at times- but for a variety of reasons I can usually keep the actual tears under control. There are only a few in recent memory that have even brought me close. ![]()
